|Job Purpose:|| Support sales growth across the trade and consumer business by proactive and excellent communication with customers implementing the sales strategy across telephone calls, promotions, trade shows and other sales opportunities To support the online consumer sales and marketing activity |
Support administration functions as required
|Key Accountabilities|| Ensure the entire customer experience from initial enquiry through all business touch points, is efficient and effective so as to maximise sales, and ensure an excellent customer experience in line with the brand Develop an effective and friendly personal communication style across all communication methods, that enhances the company’s reputation and builds loyalty |
Develop and implement sales initiatives with the Director to grow the UK business and increase the number of customers and sales values in all major sectors of the market and across all products
Manage and update accurately all sales and customer information on the company database and provide reports when required
Support the online sales and marketing strategy via updates to company websites and social media
Liaise with external service providers as required to support director
|Key Activities:||Provide efficient and timely response to all sales enquiries from various channels such as phones, emails, trade shows, websites Efficiently and quickly deal with customer queries and escalate issues where necessary to ensure excellent customer service and quick turnaround Participate in sales drive initiatives and promotions, developing a friendly and sales focused telephone style, and an on-brand written style in emails |
Make outbound calls to customers to achieve sales and repeat orders, including generating new sales, and to update customers on trade shows and other news
Record details of all outbound and inbound customer calls and keep database updated daily on orders and customers
Attend tradeshows, and work with wider team to meet show sales targets
Ensure excellent understanding of the product ranges to effectively promote them to customers and professionally represent the business face to face with customers
Develop strategy, with director, for maximising opportunities to upsell and add-sell to all customer segments
Work with director to develop sales reports and provide weekly management information
Support director in the development and implementation of a Key Accounts strategy

| Relevant experience in a sales environment would be an advantage, but aptitude for sales is more important, and a willingness to learn Excellent computer skills |
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; comfortable talking to customers
Understanding of the gift/home markets and the core customers would be an advantage
