May flew by in a sun-soaked blur, filled with garden days, family time, birthday celebrations, and a flurry of creativity.
It’s been a beautiful, busy month. We’ve made the most of the sunshine with long days in the garden, playing snakes and ladders, admiring the spring flowers, and enjoying time with friends. The month was bookended by birthday fun: my dad’s celebration over the first Bank Holiday, and my daughter’s on the last. We had a very wet (but equally joyful) trip to Chessington World of Adventures with my best friend Nicole (our lovely account manager), and her daughter. Watching our girls play and laugh together was such a highlight.

Exciting Launches & Products

It's been amazing to see how well received the new Quintessentially London has been. I visited some more stockists this month to see the range on display (and even being purchased!) at Tower Bridge, the British Library and Liberty (below left). I’ve also been busy designing new pieces to expand this collection, which I’m really excited about.

Creative Sparks

May has been a wonderfully creative month too. I’ve been painting in the garden with Etta, sketching new bespoke collections, and even braved an acrylic painting evening with friends! I've never painted with acrylic before, and we all had such a fun time.
Unearthed: The Power of Gardening at the British Library

A beautiful exhibition filled with rare books and archival treasures which explores how gardening has shaped lives and communities. As you many of you will know I absolutely love gardening, so this was right up my street!
Do Ho Suh at Tate Modern

We visited this exhibition with friends and our young daughters and everyone love it. It was interactive (although you had to resist the urge to touch!), incredibly detailed and so thoughtfully executed.
Here's what I read this month:

Felix Grey and The Descendants - short, captivating, and completely brilliant. A real gem.
We also ran a competition with my good friend and author of Felix Grey and The Descendants, Mario Theodorou, in May. Congratulations to our winners!
Do Story - a concise guide that teaches you how to craft authentic, compelling stories that resonate and inspire others. Loved it!
Looking Ahead
June is already shaping up to be a whirlwind. We’re launching our new Christmas collection (yes, really!), holding a festive photoshoot, and unveiling new additions to our London range. Plus, two exciting bespoke project samples are on their way, I can’t say much yet, but all will be revealed soon!
Here’s to a creative, sunshine-filled June!
Love,
