Christmas at Kew Gardens
Celebrate the holiday season right this year by heading over to the Kew Gardens to see their outstanding festive scenery featuring a Christmas Village, Santa's Grotto and rides, an illuminated trail, and, of course, a Boutique Christmas Market where you can find some of Victoria Eggs' products.
It has plenty for everyone this Christmas season and is sure to provide fun for the whole family. Start out at the Christmas Village where you can enjoy some delicious treats while listening to Christmas music and carols sung by local schoolchildren. Then head over to the Boutique Christmas Market to go shopping for creative and unique Christmas gifts provided by We Make London. Victoria Eggs is part of this organization, which consists of local designers whose products are all handmade in Britain. If you have children, then you should make sure to visit Santa's Grotto to see Santa Claus as well as go on the Victorian carousel and other family-friendly rides. Finally, take a walk through the spectacular illuminated trail, which takes you through the center of the astounding gardens while amazing you with light shows, sounds, and interactive performances all combining to make an extraordinary experience.
This is the first year that the Kew Gardens are introducing the illuminated trail and is sure to be an absolutely magical adventure. The trail will artistically illuminate specific important plant specimens inspired by their unique characteristics that make them so special. Â Music and sounds will play as you travel through the gardens that will change to match the scenery around you, whether it be the Mediterranean Gardens or the Garden of Fire. Make sure to find your way down to Sackler Crossing where the reflection of the lights glistening on the lake is sure to amaze.
The Royal Botanic Gardens, or more commonly known as the Kew Gardens, were founded in 1759 and are in fact the largest collection of living plants in the world. In 2003, they were declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, of which there are a little less than 1000 of on Earth. So not only do you get to experience an incredible Christmas environment, you also have the opportunity to see one of the most significant botanical centers in the world whilst doing so.
