Wildlife in Spring
Posted on April 01 2021
The launch of the new Wildlife in Spring collection coincides with the business’s 10th birthday in March 2021 and was born from Victoria’s desire to create a timeless floral design.
With the weather warming up and magnolia and blossom starting to bloom around us, Spring marks a welcome change from one of the longest winters we've all experienced during this current pandemic. We are now excited to begin making plans to see loved ones yet again, albeit from a safe distance!
Victoria was inspired by childhood memories of exploring hedgerows around the UK and blackberry picking on family holidays, as well as special time spent with her daughter picking daisies and enjoying the sounds, the smells and tastes of nature during lockdown in Spring 2020.
The delicately illustrated design highlights a nostalgic and hopeful view of this blossoming time of year. With the promise of new beginnings, the hedgerows are bursting with life, filled with birdsong and sweetly scented flowers attracting bees, butterflies and insects alike. A blackbird, sparrow and wren, some of Britain’s most well-known birds, can be found surrounded by budding blossom, beautiful roses and elegant magnolia.
Using muted tones of vintage blue, Wildlife in Spring offers a relaxed view through lush foliage and gives dreamers a space to breath and enjoy well deserved peace and quiet.
The Wildlife in Spring collection is proudly made in UK, working with members of the British manufacturing community to create this special range. The textiles are screen printed, hand sewn and finished by a family run business in Lincolnshire and the beautiful fine bone china mugs are screen printed and hand decorated in a traditional English factory.
This is Victoria’s proud salute to all that makes Britain British.
The delicately illustrated collection includes a canvas bag, apron, oven glove, tea towel, set of 4 coasters, two mugs, tea and biscuits.
